The Florida Coalition for Preservation (FCFP) was formed to educate the general public on potential environmental and quality of life issues created by the continued development of South Florida's barrier islands and coastal communities.
As a 501(c)(3) public service organization, FCFP's mission is to champion responsible development that balances economic growth with preservation of natural environments and historical landmarks, as well as reflecting storm risk and other public safety concerns.
FCFP will align with other public interest groups having compatible missions, i.e., those that are focused on a particular aspect of preservation, such as coral reefs, native sea life, promoting water quality and availability, or preserving the beaches and waterways for future generations to enjoy.
